Stephen William Stancil

Born

Joined the U.S. Army in 1992. In July 2000 he was selected for the United States Army Airborne Rangers, an elite group of combat soldiers. Stephen had numerous tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. In 2009 the USAIS, (United States Army Infantry School) named Stephen, of A Company, 6th Ranger Training Battalion, at Camp Rudder on Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., as one of its top instructors for the third quarter. His last duty station was Fort Bragg, N.C. Stephen’s 20-year enlistment was up on Sept. 18, 2012.

Barry Gregory Padgett

Born

Served from May 12, 1993, until May 11, 1999. Attended boot camp at the Naval Training Center, Orlando, Fla., and Naval Technical Training Center Corry Station, Pensacola, Fla., where he attended Electronic Warfare "A" and "C" Schools. Training included eighteen months of intense electronic theory and hands on work with the Navy's premier electronic warfare systems.Served on USS Gettysburg, (CG-64), including a six-month deployment to the Northern Arabian Gulf (Persian Gulf) and participation in Operation Joint Endeavour in the Adriatic Sea. In November 1998, the Gettysburg, as a part of the Enterprise Battle Group, took part in Operation Southern Watch and Operation Desert Fox in the Northern Arabian Gulf. Left the Navy as an Electronic Warfare Technician 2nd Class, (ESWS).
