Billy Royce Pittman, father of Tim Pittman and Gail Pittman and brother of Irene Pittman Wallace and Anne Pittman Viverette, died at 89 on March 28, 2020, in Garner, North Carolina.

He is the son of Fletcher and Gertrude Stancil Pittman and husband of the late Jackie Underwood Pittman. He was born May 10, 1930, in Johnston County, North Carolina. He is the grandfather of Alexandra and Jordan.

Billy served in the Air Force during the Korean War and served with security police at Walker Air Force Base in Roswell, New Mexico. He was buried at Montlawn Memorial Park in Garner.
