Rose Annie Stancil, the sixth child of Samuel and Missouri Howell Stancil, was born Aug. 4, 1902, in North Carolina.
She married James Hillard Boykin on Oct. 25, 1926. James was born Aug. 14, 1902, and
Together they had four children, James Ray Boykin (1935), James Carl Boykin (1936), Annie Mae Boykin (1937) and Pearlie "Faye" Marie Boykin (1939).
She passed away on Aug. 13, 1962, in Smithfield, North Carolina. She is buried in Marsh Swamp Original Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Sims. Her husband James died Dec. 6, 1991, in Wilson, and he was also buried in Marsh Swamp.
