Claire Batts Green, the oldest child of William "Bill" Henry Batts Jr. and Brenda Forrest Brown Batts, was born March 30, 1963, in Norfolk, Virginia.
She was the only daughter. Later she was joined by David Henry Batts in 1965 and William Timothy Batts in 1966.
Claire married Daniel Mark Green on September 20, 1986. They divorced on April 19, 1993 in Guilford County, North Carolina.

Claire moved around North Carolina, living in Cary, Raleigh, Nashville, and Wilmington.
Claire later moved to Cary, North Carolina, where she lived until her death.
Claire was devastated by the death of her brother Tim Batts in 2017. He died of cancer at the age of 50.
Claire died at 58 on Nov. 4, 2021, in Cary, North Carolina.
