Patricia Ann Stancil was born on March 9, 1927, in Escambia County, Florida. She was the oldest daughter of Herbert and Julia Lillian Derrington. Her father was a pilot in the Navy, having graduated from flight school in Pensacola, which likely influenced some of Patricia's early life experiences and travels.

Marriages and Motherhood

Patricia married four times throughout her life, becoming a mother through her first two unions.

First Marriage: Lee Roy Willard

In 1945, Patricia married Lee Roy Willard in Wichita, Kansas. Lee Roy was born on August 29, 1903. Together, they had one child:

  • Cheryl A. "Cheri" Willard (born July 24, 1946)

This marriage concluded in divorce. Lee Roy Willard passed away in May 1987 in Los Angeles.

Second Marriage: Clayton Lewis Bowes Sr.

On November 17, 1948, Patricia married her second husband, Clayton Lewis Bowes Sr., in Dover, New Hampshire. Clayton was born on March 1, 1920, in Somerville, Massachusetts. He was a veteran of World War II, having served as a sergeant in the Army Air Corps.

Patricia and Clayton had three children together:

  • Sandra Louise Bowes
  • Ruthann Bowes (born August 2, 1950)
  • Clayton Lewis "Skip" Bowes Jr.

    This marriage also ended in divorce. Clayton Lewis Bowes Sr. passed away on October 14, 1996, in Winthrop, Massachusetts, and is buried in Pine Hill Cemetery in Dover, New Hampshire.

    Third Marriage: Norman Parker Mac Pherson

    Patricia's third marriage was to Norman Parker Mac Pherson on January 9, 1960, in Dover, New Hampshire. Norman was born on March 7, 1932, in Essex, Massachusetts. They eventually divorced. Norman passed away at the age of 86 on August 2, 2018, in Epping, New Hampshire.

    Fourth Marriage: Hugh Lee Reed

    On September 2, 1965, Patricia married her fourth husband, Hugh Lee Reed, also in New Hampshire. Hugh was born on December 21, 1925, in Bedias, Texas. Hugh passed away on June 26, 1985, in Potter County, Texas, and is buried in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Amarillo, Texas.

    Later Life and Legacy

    Patricia Ann Stancil Reed passed away at the age of 68 on October 6, 1995, in Lynn, Massachusetts. She was laid to rest in Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose, Massachusetts.

    Her children continued to build their own lives and families: Her daughter Cheri Willard married Johnnie Repecko. Johnnie, who served in the U.S. Army Airborne during the Vietnam War, meeting Cheri while stationed in Germany, married her on November 20, 1965, in Lynn, Massachusetts. Johnnie passed away on January 16, 2012, in Lynn, Massachusetts, and is buried in Pine Grove Cemetery. Cheri herself passed away on January 28, 2021, in Lynn, Massachusetts, and is also buried in Pine Grove Cemetery.

    Her daughter Ruthann Bowes married Thomas "Tom" Vincent Callinan Jr. on June 21, 1983, in Woburn, Massachusetts. Tom passed away on April 17, 2007, in Woburn, Massachusetts. Ruthann passed away on August 10, 2021, in Woburn.
